High-Contrast Ambrotype Developer No. 3 - 500ml

High-Contrast Developer No. 3 for ambrotype was developed for use in the wet plate collodion process as an alternative to traditional acetic acid developers.

It allows you to obtain higher image contrast and cleaner, brighter highlight areas. It can be particularly useful when you want a more distinct separation between highlights and shadows and a stronger overall image character.

The developer is supplied as a concentrate. Before use, dilute it with demineralised water in a 1:2 ratio.

One 500 ml bottle makes approximately 1.5 litres of working solution. This amount is sufficient for approximately 150–200 plates in 13 × 18 cm format, depending on working method, the amount of developer used and the photographer’s experience.
