15% Silver Nitrate Solution 100ml

15% silver nitrate (AgNO₃) solution intended for use in historical photographic processes in which silver nitrate is used to sensitise the photographic material.

The solution is ready to use and prepared at a concentration suitable for processes including albumen printing and salt printing.

Applications

The solution can be used in processes such as:

• albumen printing – for sensitising paper coated with albumen,

• salt printing – for sensitising previously salted paper.

In both processes, silver nitrate reacts with salts present in the paper layer to form light-sensitive silver compounds.

The solution is prepared from silver nitrate of a purity suitable for photographic use and distilled water.

The ready-made 15% concentration allows you to start working without weighing silver nitrate and preparing the solution from scratch.
