Cyanotype kit with tools

Complete cyanotype kit intended for anyone who wants to start working with this process and have the basic materials and tools ready from the beginning.

The kit includes the chemicals, paper and accessories needed to prepare and coat the paper with the light-sensitive solution. It can be used both for printing from negatives and for making photograms with plants, objects or other materials placed directly on the sensitised paper.

The kit includes

• cyanotype chemicals – for preparing a total of 100 ml of Solutions A and B,

• Canson Student A4 paper – 25 sheets,

• 5 cm foam brushes – 2 pieces,

• glass coating rod – 1 piece,

• dark glass bottles, 50 ml – 2 pieces, for storing the prepared solutions.

You will also need demineralised water, which is not included in the kit.

For first experiments and further practice

Canson Student paper works well for learning cyanotype, making tests and workshop practice. The included foam brushes and glass coating rod allow you to try different methods of applying the solution to the paper.

Solutions A and B are prepared separately and stored in the dark bottles included in the kit. Immediately before use, equal amounts of both solutions are mixed together, and the resulting light-sensitive solution is applied to the paper.

Cyanotype

Cyanotype is a historical photographic process in which the image is formed by exposing a light-sensitive coating to UV radiation.

Prints can be exposed using sunlight or a UV lamp. The process does not require a traditional photographic darkroom, which makes it a good introduction to historical photographic techniques.

The kit can be used for learning the process, personal experiments, creative work and educational activities.
