Huber grey printing ink (Michael Huber München) in a slightly cool tone is a high-quality pigment-based ink designed for workshop printmaking and photographic processes such as oil print and bromoil. It has been specially developed to enable a fuller and more controlled tonal range within greyscale values.
Its stable formulation and neutral, slightly cool character allow for precise modelling of contrast and subtle tonal transitions within the image.
Applications
- oil print technique
- bromoil print technique
- workshop and artistic printmaking
- building greyscale tonal range in images
- pigment-based alternative photographic processes
- hand-coated matrix and print work
- CMYK color mixing system
Why this product
Huber grey ink has been developed for techniques requiring precise tonal control. Its cool grey tone allows for a more balanced and extended greyscale range, which is particularly important in oil print and bromoil processes.
When combined with linseed oil available in our shop, it enables adjustment of ink consistency and its behaviour on the matrix, resulting in greater control over contrast and image structure.
